Founded in 1987 by Gary and Cathy Rheude, as Accurate Molding Technology, the company began in a 1200 square foot facility, located in Goodland, Indiana. With one full-time employee and two molding machines, 1st year sales totaled $181,864.
In 1990, it became a privately held corporation entity of Indiana, under the name Adkev Inc. The Rheudes' maintain ownership today, and continue to lead the organization's development.
In 1993, the Company moved into a new 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility also located in Goodland. A building expansion of 40,000 square feet was added in 1997, and another 25,000 square foot addition was completed in 2005. A 183,000 square foot manufacturing facility, located in Monticello, Indiana began production in January 2007.
Adkev provides custom injection molded parts, insert molded parts, 2-shot parts, and value-add assemblies to the automotive and electronic/electrical industries. As a Tier 2 supplier to the automotive industry, Adkev supplies fasteners, HVAC components, interior and exterior components for use in the majority of OEM automotive vehicles.
Adkev-produced coil windings can be found in light ballast assemblies in homes and businesses across the United States.
